Tomorrow begins the dredge to start the sand transfer with which to regenerate the beaches of the south of Valencia

The Delegate of the Government in the Valencian Community, Pilar Bernabé, has announced that “tomorrow the dredge begins on the beach of the Arbre del Gos de València with which a new phase is continued in the actions of regeneration of the beaches of the south of València”.

Bernabé recalled that, as it was transferred to the City Council of Valencia and the affected neighbors, these works would begin in early September. With the affectation announced by the Demarcation of Coasts of the Ministry of Ecological Transition, the actions will begin tomorrow for the transfer of three million cubic meters with which to regenerate the beaches of the south of the province.

Last August began the installation of the large pipeline, a preparatory action, which did not cause harm to bathers.

The intervention on the southern coast of Valencia has a budget of 28 million euros, “the biggest investment that has been made in Spain to regenerate the beaches”, according to the Delegate of the Government in Valencia.

Regeneration works on the southern beaches are financed with European Next Generation funds, a circumstance that will force their completion before the end of the year 2023. “It should be noted that the Government of Spain has promoted a very ambitious project to regenerate our coastline. This is proof of the Executive’s commitment to our natural environment,” added Bernabé. “From the Government of Spain we have worked intensively to respond to a very important demand of the neighbors and neighbors of the beaches of the south”

Later, according to the delegate, the dredger will move to Denia for the regeneration of the town’s beach. Bernabé pointed out that “despite the fact that the Government of Spain is in office, it does not stop working to regenerate the coast of the Valencian Community”.
