The delegate of the Government in the Valencian Community, Pilar Bernabé, has visited the recovery works of the beach l´Arbre del Gos in which 1,000,0000 cubic meters of sand have already been poured with which 2.5 km of beach have been regenerated to date. “This section is already available to bathers in the absence of the action of municipal cleaning services,” said the delegate.
As for the overall conclusion of the works of regeneration of the beaches of the south of València, according to Bernabé, there are still 2,000,000 cubic meters to pour, which will end a performance that has a budget of 28 M€, “the largest investment in beaches planned in Spain for this year”.
The work is developed along seven kilometers of coastline between Pinedo and the Gola de Puchol with which it will be possible to recover “the physiognomy that the coast had in the 70’s”, Bernabé recalls.
The completion of the regeneration is scheduled for October 24, when the dredger will move to Dénia, where other regeneration works will be carried out with a budget of 19M€.
