The delegate of the Government in the Valencian Community, Pilar Bernabé, has met with the mayor of Novelda, Francisco José Martínez, who has thanked him for the approval of the master plan by which the Castillo de la Mola will be able to access new subsidies. Bernabé has indicated that with this initiative, the City Council can be presented to all investments that benefit this tourist demand. In this regard, he pointed out that “shortly, aid will come from the Government of Spain for the recovery and rehabilitation of the artistic historical heritage as a tourist attraction with amounts ranging from 750,000 euros to 3,000,000 euros”. This master plan, said the delegate, “will favor the City Council to be able to present itself to this aid and to others that come from other administrations.”
On the other hand, the delegate also highlighted “the great work developed by the municipal government team to receive, for the first time in history, direct aid to improve the city through the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Mechanism”.
These subsidies will have an impact, according to the delegate, on local trade in the municipal market with more than 2.5 million euros, but also on digitization, connectivity and improvement of broadband.
Barnabas indicated that “this Government is not only concerned with the improvement of infrastructure but also of the people” and in this sense, he said that “thanks to the pension reform, more than 5,000 pensioners in the city of Novelda have already seen their pensions increased”.
