It will mean a significant improvement in road safety between kilometers 206.5 and 209 of the N-332 road
El Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda (Mitma) has approved the project of “Access control on the N-332 between kilometers (km) 206.5 and 209.0. T.M. Oliva”, in the province of Valencia. The approved project will serve as the basis for the works to be tendered, with un estimated project budget of 9.6 million euros (VAT included). “The Government of Spain continues to invest in the improvement of the connectivity of our territory through infrastructures”, said the delegate of the Government in the Valencian Community, Pilar Bernabé.
Currently in this stretch of the road N-332 there are two intersections in T with central waiting lanes for the left turns, which allow the access to Pego (CV-678) and the beaches of the zone. In addition to the traffic existing in them, especially in summer, we must consider the proximity of both intersections (620 meters). Likewise, direct access has proliferated in both margins.
Given the existing situation, this project proposes the execution of a diamond link with weights that combines the two intersections T, and also the execution of two-way service paths in both margins for access control on the N-332 in Oliva between km 206.5 and 209. According to Bernabé, “a historical claim” is met, which “ will improve access to beach areas and the connectivity of the industry of the Safor and Marina Alta regions”.
