The delegate of the Government in Ceuta, Cristina Pérez, has today presented the new report of accountability of the Government of Spain, ‘Complying’, which includes an analysis of the investments and measures made by the Executive of Pedro Sánchez in the autonomous city.
Ceuta has received, until June 2024, 19.8 million euros from the Government of Spain in terms of delivery to account and 51.8 million euros have been allocated to the Autonomous City of Ceuta for the deployment of investments of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan in its areas of competence: housing, sustainable mobility, promotion of renewables, restoration of ecosystems, renovation of public buildings, education and professional training, inclusion and social services, among others.
32 million euros have been executed directly by the State in the Autonomous City of Ceuta. And nearly 1000 companies, institutions and citizens have benefited through the European Next Generation Funds.
Ceuta ended the month of June 2024 with 22,300 workers with indefinite contracts, according to the Labour Force Survey, which represents an increase of 3.3% compared to the quarter before the entry into force of the Labour Reform. In addition, the number of affiliated persons has increased
a Social Security, reaching the figure of 23,451 members as of June 30, 2024. And 9,928 public employees and employees have enjoyed a remuneration increase of 0.5% with retroactive effect for the whole year 2023 and 2% for 2024.
The management balance of the Government of Spain includes data related to the strengthening of the welfare state:
· 9,787 people received the Minimum Vital Income, 5,410 adults and 4,377 minors in June 2024
· 8,639 pensioners will benefit in 2024 from the revaluation of pensions under the CPI
· From the beginning of the Recovery Plan and until May 31, 2024, a total of 2,244 Vocational Training places have been created in the Autonomous City
· 1,779 people have been beneficiaries of the electric social bond in the Autonomous City of Ceuta.
EUR 5.5 million has been distributed, under Component 22 of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, to fund care policy projects.
· 1.4 million euros have been allocated to projects of the program "Protection of the family and attention to child poverty" for 2023, and the same amount has been authorized for the year 2024
· 6.9 million euros have been approved for projects of high specialization, for the expansion of portfolio in genomics and to improve care for patients suffering from ALS and rare diseases in the autonomous cities of Ceuta and Melilla
· 2,088 young Ceutis have registered in the Young Summer Program to travel with discounts this summer
In the field of the fight against gender violence, the Autonomous City of Ceuta has counted on:
· 1.6 million euros destined directly to the autonomous city within the framework of the State Pact against Gender Violence.
· 414,589 euros for different programs and regional plans aimed at victims of gender violence and sexual violence
Among the measures to strengthen territorial cohesion and face the demographic challenge, the following stand out:
· 15 million euros have been allocated to strengthen the reception structures for migrant minors in the Canary Islands, the Autonomous City of Ceuta and the Autonomous City of Melilla. This item is part of a larger package of 35 million that includes the reception among all the autonomous communities of 400 children and adolescents who arrived in the Canary Islands and the Autonomous City of Ceuta.
· 4.2 million euros in the formalization of the contract for the execution of various conservation and exploitation operations on state roads in the Autonomous City of Ceuta. The contract covers a total of 16 km of conventional roads (N-352, N-354 and N-362). In addition, the contract of works for the improvement of road safety and reorganization of pedestrian traffic on the N-352 road, within the Autonomous City of Ceuta, has been formalized for 3.5 million euros
Another of the challenges of the government is to consolidate Spain as a reference in equality between women and men and for this in Ceuta:
· 664 women have received the maternity allowance in their pension
· 697 women have benefited from the supplement to reduce the gender gap in pensions
· 1.7 million euros have been allocated to the Co-responsible Plan for 2024
To conclude, the Government delegate said that “these figures show that the Spanish Government’s bet on Ceuta is clear and evident. President Pedro Sánchez complies with Ceuta”
