The Government Delegation in Ceuta this morning hosted the act of handing over the Medal of Merit for Civil Protection, which is regulated by an Order of 13 April 1982.
This distinction aims to distinguish natural or legal persons who stand out for their activities in the protection of persons and property that may be affected by emergency situations in cases of serious risk, catastrophe or public calamity, through the performance of singular acts involving notorious risk or exceptional solidarity, singular collaboration with the competent authorities in the direction and coordination of intervention resources.
In this edition, representatives of the Civil Guard and the National Police have received the distinction, demonstrating exemplary performance in the device of Operation Strait Pass (OPE).
