The Delegation of the Government of Ceuta appreciates the work done, during the weekend, by the National Police, Civil Guard, Tax Agency and Private Security to ensure the proper functioning of the border crossing.
Between Friday and Sunday (12-13 and 14 May) 12,086 people and 3,209 vehicles have entered Ceuta from Morocco and on the contrary, from Ceuta to Morocco, 11,159 people and 3,288 vehicles have left. The total number of documentary verifications amounts to 23,245.
In addition, due to the upcoming start of Operation Strait Pass 2023, travelers with an MRE profile (Maghreb residents abroad) who choose the Tarajal border to reach Morocco are already being identified.
There have been no incidents at the documentary and customs checkpoints. And the transit has been fluid.
