The Government Delegate, Rafael García Rodríguez, has traveled to the Hispanic capital to hold a meeting with the Government Delegate of Andalusia, Pedro Fernández Peñalver.
The meeting dealt with issues related to the connectivity of the Autonomous City, which are included in the Integral Plan of Socioeconomic Development of Ceuta. And the air connection between Algeciras-Tangier-Tetouan has been addressed, it is a business project of Ceuta origin that can unite Andalusia with Morocco in just 15 minutes, strengthening and enhancing the renewed ties with the neighboring country.
The advances in the implementation of the submarine electric cable, which will connect Ceuta with the peninsula, have also been addressed at the meeting. It is a country, strategic and transformative project that will strengthen the supply guarantee in the Autonomous City and has a budget of 221 million euros destined mostly to the installation of an isolated double circuit link that will be the first of the electric transport network in the City.
Regarding the upcoming Operation Paso del Angolo, García has highlighted the importance of the ports of Ceuta and Algeciras anticipating possible new situations through dialogue and the implementation of coordination mechanisms that minimize these risks.
Constant contact and coordination between the leaders of the Government of the Nation on both sides of the Strait is key to the preparation of common policies aimed at improving the quality of life of citizens.
In the coming days, a working meeting will be held to address issues in common with the Subdelegate of the Government in Cadiz, José Antonio Pacheco Calvo, as the visible head of the AGE for the province and the coordinator of the Administration of the State in the Campo de Gibraltar, Paco Gil Sánchez.
