The High Level Meeting to be held in Rabat on 1 and 2 February will be a good time to take the results of today’s pilot test, from which a timetable will be designed that allows trade between the two countries with all the guarantees.
Today, a first step has been taken, with the shipment to Morocco of personal hygiene articles, followed by others that will incorporate greater complexity to ensure that the two Customs are fully operational in the shortest possible time.
Today’s test will determine the infrastructure needs for the implementation of the precise controls and for the deployment of the necessary personnel with which to give the appropriate response to the users of this Customs that has begun its journey today.
This marks an important milestone in the road map that Spain and Morocco sealed on 7 April last year.
