Operation Strait Pass 2023 in Ceuta has completed the departure phase, which corresponds to the period between June 15 and August 15, with a total of 63,341 vehicles and 280,005 passengers, which represents 17.9% and 15.1% less than in 2022.
In the OPE 2022 departure operation, 329,767 passengers and 77,144 vehicles chose the Algeciras/Ceuta route. As for the number of rotations, it has gone from 1,450 in 2022 to 1,418 in 2023, which represents a decrease of 2.2%.
Within the destination ports, Ceuta has received 16.2% of the journeys, 7.8% less than in 2022.
Normality and fluidity have marked this year the departure phase of the OPE since the waiting times have not exceeded the hour and the city has not been affected at any time.
For the traffic of more than 60,000 vehicles that have made the journey between the port and the border.
The phase has been closed without any incident, being the last days of June those that concentrated the largest number of travelers on the occasion of the celebration of the Passover of the Sacrifice.
