- Prieto announces 2 million euros for the green belt connecting the walls of Tortosa and 10.1 million for the national stop
Tarragona, July 3, 2023.- The government delegate in Catalonia, Carlos Prieto, carried out an institutional visit on Monday in Tortosa and Camarles where he met with the new consistorial teams.
Accompanied by the deputy delegate of the Government in Tarragona, Santiago Castellà, Prieto paid a visit to the City Council of Tortosa, where he signed the book of honor and held a meeting with Jordi Jordan, with whom he addressed some local issues. Then, they have paid attention to media in which the delegate has shown his willingness to “continue consolidating agreements and continue with the pacts” in all administrations to “advance the country before the option of backtracking”.
The delegate has announced a grant of 2 million euros within the program of sustainable tourist destinations promoted by the Secretary of State for Tourism for the green belt that connects the city walls, in addition to an investment of 10.1 million euros for the parador located in the castle of Tortosa to modernize the facilities and value its patrimonial elements.
Subsequently, the delegate and the subdelegate of the Government have gone to the City of Camarles, where they have been received by its mayor, Joan Curto, and his new government team.
