- Subdelegations will participate with open days, talks, exhibitions and meetings
Barcelona, March 17, 2023.- The headquarters of the Government Delegation in Catalonia and the subdelegations will host various activities that will be held, on the occasion of a new edition of the Open Administration Week, from March 20 to 24, to establish a dialogue with the citizens and reaffirm the commitment of the institution with a more open and closer administration.
Its main objective is to bring Public Administrations closer to the citizens, based on the principles of Open Government: transparency, accountability, citizen participation, public integrity and collaboration.
Promoted by the Government of Spain and coordinated and promoted by the General Directorate of Public Governance, with the collaboration of the Open Government Forum, the Open Administration Week, whose activities are held throughout the state territory, is intended as an initiative that seeks to gather in the same week open days and other types of events in which information will be offered on what is the peripheral administration of the State, its current situation, its functions and its future prospects.
The first act of the Delegation of Catalonia will be held on Monday 20 at 12 noon with a day to publicize the services provided by the institution, focusing on the Transparency Portal and on the novelties of this exercise: the presentation of the plan ‘The Administration near you’ and the news in the field of foreigners; this meeting will be the central act of the
Open Administration Week of the Catalan Delegation.
On the 23rd there will be a second day to publicize and develop the
news of the services of the Government Delegation at the border (Port and Airport of Barcelona) to teaching groups and professional associations (medical, veterinary, customs, among others), and to citizens in general. This event will be held at the Archives of the Crown of Aragon. This day will highlight the role of External Health in a broad concept, through the actions carried out at the border by veterinary inspectors and inspectors as well as by agricultural engineers and engineers, in addition to the actions by pharmaceutical inspectors and inspectors.
In parallel, the same day in the Government Delegation there will be a visit to the Palau Montaner, current headquarters of the Government Delegation in Catalonia. During this day of open doors will be explained the Training Program of the Area of Promotion of the Delegation (in the university and architectural sectors), through the presentation of a sample of works, result of university practices.
Specifically, the works will be presented: ‘The European, Spanish and Catalan urban agendas’, by Manel Gispert; ‘The prizes of the New European Bauhaus’, by Sergi de Raat and ‘The Architecture Weeks in Spain’, by Ramon Navarro.
After that, there will be a visit to the modernist Palau finalized by Lluís Domènech i Montaner.
ACTIVITIES IN SUB-DELEGATIONS
The Subdelegation of Lleida plans to hold a meeting on Tuesday, March 21, with the associations of neighbors of different neighborhoods of the city to publicize the objectives of the plan ‘The Administration near you’.
The attendees will also participate in a guided visit to different units of the Subdelegation building, catalogued as a Cultural Asset of Local Interest since 2001.
In the Subdelegation of Tarragona, during the Open Administration Week, you can visit the exhibition ‘L’Ombra del Passat’ by Vicky Roldán.
On Wednesday 22, they will also hold a telematic meeting with representatives of municipalities of less than 8,000 inhabitants to explain the plan ‘The Administration near you’.
Girona plans to hold talks with formative cycles of administration and finance --in the IES Montilivi of Girona, on the 20th; and in the IES Vallvera of Salt, on the 22--; and on the 23rd they will hold another talk with students of law and economics of the University of Girona (UdG) in the faculty of law.
Also, in the framework of the Open Administration Week, the Subdelegation of Girona opened its doors for a guided tour with ‘Els amics del Museu de Girona’ last Wednesday, which featured the screening of videos, a talk and an explanatory route.
