The Government allocates 28.4 million euros to Castilla y León to finance rural development interventions

• The Council of Ministers authorises, on the proposal of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, the allocation of 158.2 million euros to the autonomous communities and cities to finance rural development interventions included in the National Strategic Plan of the CAP 2023-2027. • The amount corresponds to the state cofinancing of the rural development actions of the autonomies, included in the CAP Strategic Plan. • The proposal will be submitted to the next Sectoral Conference on Agriculture and Rural Development.

06 de May de 2025.- The Government authorized this Tuesday in the Council of Ministers, at the proposal of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, to allocate 28,466,032 euros to Castilla y León to finance interventions of
rural development covered by the National Strategic Plan of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) 2023-2027.

The total investment proposed for rural development by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food to transfer to autonomous communities and cities is 158,225,557 euros, an amount conditioned to its approval by the Sectoral Conference.

The distribution has been made according to the agreements reached between the General Administration of the State and the autonomous communities. With this authorization, the commitment of the Government to continue with the support
for financial assistance from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD).

The CAP Strategic Plan includes support measures of a different nature, aimed at improving the competitiveness of the agri-food sector, ensuring the sustainable management of natural resources and action against the climate and achieving a balanced territorial development of rural areas. These measures are financed by the EAFRD and contributions from the General Administration of the State and the autonomous communities themselves.
