Nicanor Sen lays the foundations for collaboration between institutions to give a boost to the province of Soria

• The government delegate makes an institutional visit to the province of Soria with meetings with the representatives of the City Council, the Subdelegation of Defense and the penitentiary center to know first-hand the situation of the province, collect the demands of the Sorians and establish the bases of collaboration between institutions

The government delegate in Castilla y León, Nicanor Sen, accompanied by the subdelegate of the Government, Miguel Latorre, made an institutional visit to Soria this Wednesday with the aim of taking the pulse to the situation of the province, collecting the demands of the Sorianos and laying the foundations of collaboration between institutions.

The day began at the Soria Penitentiary Center where, together with its director, he made a tour of the facilities that were put into operation in July 2021 and visited the productive workshops that take place in the center, “typical of a model prison and at the forefront, which works for the reintegration of inmates into society.” He has also held a working meeting with the management team to learn about the current situation of the center.

Then, the government delegate visited the Subdelegation of Defense, where he was received by Colonel Ángel Esparza López, who guided him through the new facilities of the institution.

The working day has culminated in the offices of the City of Soria, where Sen has held a meeting with the mayor and members of the government team.

During the various meetings, issues of interest to the city and the province have been addressed, such as the depopulation of the rural environment, the possibility of re-editing and increasing operating aid, the fate of the former units of the National Police Station or the promotion of infrastructures such as Soria-Castejón, among others.

This first round of institutional visits has been marked by cordiality and harmony with the different representatives, to whom Sen has transferred his firm willingness to collaborate to attend to those issues of the highest priority in the province of Soria.

Sen, who has described the meetings as very positive, has committed to transferring the claims to the corresponding ministries and has called for dialogue to reach agreements in benefit of the citizens. The government delegate in Castilla y León will return in the coming weeks to the province of Soria to complete the round of institutional visits.
