Fernando Galeano chairs the Subdelegate Assistance Committee and highlights the AGE’s commitment to improving service delivery in Ávila

The Deputy Delegate of the Government in Ávila, Fernando Galeano, has chaired the Subdelegate Assistance Commission, in which he reviewed with the heads of the different services that the General Administration of the State provides in Ávila the actions carried out during the first four months of the year.
Within the framework of the Assistance Committee, those responsible have taken stock of its management, while at the same time reporting on the actions planned for the coming months. In this regard, Galeano has highlighted the importance of these meetings to strengthen the coordination of the AGE at the provincial level while highlighting the effort to improve the quality in the provision of public services.
The territorial unit of Telecommunications has highlighted that the coverage of Broadband in the province of Ávila already reaches 100%, since through the optimal fiber has already reached 70% coverage and, the areas without fiber can contract the broadband connection by satellite in similar conditions through the Hispasat service that subsidizes the Ministry.
The Social Guarantee Fund of Ávila has reported that during the first four months of the year, 27,947 euros have been paid in salaries and indemnities to workers whose companies have entered into bankruptcy or insolvency proceedings.
As a novelty, the domestic workers sector has also become a recipient of compensation from FOGASA when there is non-payment by employers.
The provincial Labour and Social Security Inspectorate has registered a total of 1,552 service orders that have made it possible to recover 165,707 euros in Social Security fraud or 33,000 euros in wages that had not been adequately paid to workers, among other results.
In addition, surveillance activities have been carried out on the irregular economy, on irregular recruitment and on working and wage conditions. Thus, 167 actions have been carried out in labor material, allowing the conversion of 95 contracts and the revision of 222.
Likewise, 1,120 actions have been carried out in the field of occupational risk prevention, highlighting, among others, 134 in the field of training and information and the investigation of 17 work accidents.
For its part, the National Social Security Institute has highlighted the significant volume of applications for maternity supplements made by men, which reached 1,400 in the first quarter of the year, of which 695 have been approved to date.
The Care and Information Centers for Social Security located in Ávila capital and Arenas de San Pedro have served about 4,500 citizens, highlighting that, in this period, face-to-face care has increased.
The meeting was attended by the provincial heads of Traffic, Economy and Finance, Public Service of State Employment, National Institute of Statistics, National Institute and Treasury of Social Security, Labor Inspection, State Roads, MUFACE, FOGASA, Penitentiary Center, Labor and Immigration, Health, Industry, Agriculture, Telecommunications, State Advocacy, Violence against Women, Civil Protection Unit and heads of the State Security Forces and Bodies.
