The Integrated Services of the AGE in Zamora take stock of the first quarter

The Subdelegate of the Government in Zamora, Ángel Blanco, presided over the meeting of the Integrated Services of the General Administration of the State (AGE) in the province, in which the people responsible for the administrative units of the Subdelegation took stock of the first quarter of the year.
Ariculture Unit
The Agriculture Unit has reported an 11% increase in the activity of external health inspection, consisting of the inspection, control and issuance of certifications for the export of animals and products of animal origin, as well as animal health and animal feed products destined for third countries. So far in 2024, a total of 280 certifications have been processed for export to countries outside the European Union (EU).
Products of animal origin for human consumption account for more than 90%, mainly cheeses, in addition to other dairy products, and meat. In this 2024, 3,284,000 kilos have been certified.
As for the controls in slaughterhouse, in Zamora 64 certificates have been issued this year, all of them from the slaughterhouse of Fuenteaúco Felipe Rebollo, with a total of 77,516 kg of male beef.
Labor and Immigration Area
In Zamora, EU citizens represent 75% of foreign citizens, compared to 25% of non-EU citizens, an increase in non-EU citizens, especially those of Morocco, Colombia and Venezuela, continues to be observed.
According to the latest available statistics from the Permanent Observatory of Immigration, in the province of Zamora there are legally resident 12,958 foreign citizens, of whom 9,719 are Community citizens; 3,211 are non-Community citizens; and 28 are covered by the Withdrawal Agreement negotiated by the EU and the United Kingdom.
Among EU residents, the most frequent origins are Portugal (3,161 citizens), Romania (3,000) and Bulgaria (2,128).
Citizens from Morocco (1,105), Colombia (380), Venezuela (318) and Ukraine (284) predominate among non-EU citizens.
In recent years, the Immigration Office of Zamora has recorded an increase in the number of cases year by year. In the first quarter of this year it has started 455 dossiers. In 2023, the number of files processed reached 1,783, almost double the number of 946 files processed in 2019.
For its part, the Police Services issued 77 certificates to EU citizens from January to March, while in 2023 they reached 381 certificates. In particular, last March, 37 protection cards for temporary displaced persons from Ukraine were renewed. In addition, 9 cases of expulsion of foreign citizens in the province of Zamora have been processed this year. In 2023 there were 34.
Works in the trade union building
On the initiative of the Ministry of Labour and Social Economy, a project to improve energy efficiency has been launched in the trade union building on the German Steps, which will be possible thanks to the Next Generation EU funds.
The aim is to limit CO2 emissions and achieve a reduction of at least 30% in the energy consumption of this state-owned building thanks to an investment of 3.3 million euros.
Office of Information and Attention to Citizenship
The Office of Information and Attention to Citizenship of the Subdelegation of Zamora has met 100% the objective of electronic exchange of documents.
Currently, very few documents reach the Subdelegation in paper format, mainly university degrees. In this first quarter of the year, the total number of seats sent to other units of the Subdelegation from the registry office electronically was 3,024.
Regarding the issuance and renewal of digital certificates (Cl@ve and FNMT) in this first quarter the Subdelegation has issued a total of 948 digital certificates and 390 permanent keys.
Citizen Rights and Administrative Violations
The Citizens’ Rights and Administrative Violations Unit has reported 1,604 dossiers initiated so far this year, 89% (1,423) related to narcotics.
As for the administrative authorizations for urgent processing, in the first quarter 6 have been processed related to bullfighting celebrations, 2 with horseshoes, 2 with sets of badges and 9 with parties.
