Nicanor Sen conveys his recognition to the head of the Campaign Artillery Command and thanks the Armed Forces for their work
Official farewell meeting
April 11, 2024. The Government delegate in Castilla y León, Nicanor Sen, received on Thursday in the offices of the Delegation General Vicente Torres Vázquez, Chief General of the Campaign Artillery Command (MACA) and Military Commander of León, based at the Conde de Gazola Base.
During the meeting, General Torres Vázquez explained to the delegate the current situation of the Field Artillery Command, as well as the current challenges faced by the Spanish Army.
In this regard, Sen wanted to highlight the “important work” of the Armed Forces in safeguarding the defense of the rights and freedoms of citizens and in preserving the rule of law.
The working meeting is part of the official farewell of General Torres Vázquez, who in the coming months will put an end to the leadership of MACA after more than three years. This was a period marked by the restructuring of the Spanish Army and, as Sen pointed out, by the strong impetus given by General Torrez Vázquez to the collaboration with the State Security Forces and Bodies and the Government Delegation in Castilla y León, always at the service of the citizens.
For all of this, Sen has conveyed to him his gratitude for the services provided at the head of the MACA, he has thanked the work of the Armed Forces and he has wished him success at a professional level in his new stage in Madrid.
It was in September 2020 that General Torres Vázquez assumed the leadership of MACA after serving for 15 years in the Parachutist Brigade and serving as Chief of Staff of the General Command of Melilla in his position as colonel.
