March 19, 2024.- The Subdelegate of the Government in Valladolid, Jacinto Canales, has today visited Alaejos and Bobadilla del Campo to know the result of the last call for the Agricultural Employment Promotion Program -promoted by the Public Service of State Employment, SEPE, dependent of the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy- in these two municipalities of the province.
In Alaejos, the program has employed 14 people this winter for 90 days. In addition to the promotion of employment, the investment, close to 89,000 euros, has served to urbanize Carranza Street and a section of Fortaleza Street, in addition to intervening in the square and in other streets.
In Bobadilla del Campo, the program has involved the investment of almost 63,500 euros to give work to 10 people for three months. The result, in addition, is a new sidewalk on Calle Peñaranda and the consolidation of the wall that surrounds the church.
Increase in investment
The Agricultural Employment Promotion Program grew by 6% in Valladolid in 2023 and aims to establish a population in rural areas and revitalize these areas of the province. It has had a budget of 1,087,000 euros. Thus, it was possible to reach the figure of 171 workers in the province.
The programme is implemented within the territorial framework of the county councils, in order to create and improve infrastructures that make it possible to establish productive activities that generate employment. In Valladolid, the regional council is in Medina del Campo.
