March 15, 2024.- This Friday, Ángel Blanco, deputy delegate of the Government in Zamora, highlighted the valuable work of Caritas in the province and its great contribution throughout Spain to help people in vulnerable situations. “Caritas is always available and extends the arms of the Administration to meet those who need it most,” said Ángel Blanco, citing the areas of gender violence and immigration as examples of Caritas’ collaboration with the Subdelegation.
The subdelegate participated in the closing day of the meeting of the General Council of Caritas Española, which has been held since Wednesday at the San Atilano Seminar, with a program that has included a tour of the areas devastated by the fires of 2022 in the Sierra de la Culebra.
Ángel Blanco has highlighted the intense work carried out by the entity, supported with public and private funds, mainly aimed at groups of elderly people, children, youth and migrants, as well as people in situations of exclusion and with drug dependency.
