Transportes announces an offer of train tickets for 25 euros to travel to Asturias from April 1 to May 6

• The Secretary of State, José Antonio Santano, has explained that Renfe will begin to market the Alvia tickets from March 11 and will cover the trips both during Holy Week and the May bridge.

March 7, 2024.- The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility has announced the launch of an offer to travel by train to Asturias for 25 euros between April 1 and May 6, 2024, including the trips of both Easter and the May bridge. Renfe will put on sale the discounted Alvia tickets to travel between Madrid and Asturias from March 11.

This was expressed by the Secretary of State, José Antonio Santano, after the meeting held with the Minister of Development, Local Cooperation and Fire Prevention of the Principality of Asturias, Alejandro Calvo.

In this regard, the Secretary of State has explained that this is a great offer that contemplates the sale of 2,000 seats per week. Renfe tickets must be purchased at least 10 days in advance of the date of travel.

Santano has shown the absolute cooperation with the Principality of Asturias and has assured that it will maintain a permanent dialogue as has already been done in these months. In this regard, he has insisted that there have been many advances in recent times and that his concern is focused on the needs of Asturian and Asturian women.

He also reviewed with the councillor the situation of the trains of metric width of which he recalled that the manufacture of 31 trains has begun and it has also been confirmed with the agreement of the Delegate Commission for Economic Affairs (CDGAE) the increase in seven more trains destined for Asturias, which as explained by the Secretary of State are going to balance the offer much more.

Santano has confirmed, as did the Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, Óscar Puente, that when the 106 series trains are in operation, the first AVE leaving Asturias towards Madrid will arrive in the capital around 9.30 a.m.
