Renfe issues in Castilla y León more than 96,000 free subscriptions and Avant at 50%

February 29, 2024.- Renfe has issued in Castilla y León 96,738 free Short Distance and Medium Distance subscriptions, and 50% discount Avant subscriptions, for travel between January 1 and April 30, 2024.

On December 27, 2023, the Government approved the extension of the free services of Neighbourhoods, Rodalies and Media Distancia conventional for recurring travelers, as well as 50% discounts for Avant services.

Of the total number of subscriptions issued in the region, more than 64,000 correspond to multi-trip titles for conventional Medium Distance services, and 874 for travel in the Metric Width Vicinity services of the Leon-Guardo line.

In addition to the free subscriptions, Renfe has issued in Castilla y León about 31,600 Avant subscriptions to travel in the High Speed Medium Distance services and in the new OSP (Public Service Obligation) routes provided on the high-speed network, with a 50% discount by the State, to which is added a 25% more that is financed by the Junta de Castilla y León for registrants in the region.

Nationally, Renfe has exceeded 2 million subscriptions. More than 1.4 million correspond to subscriptions for the different nuclei of Neighbourhoods, Rodalies and Neighbourhoods Metric Width, while the subscriptions of Medium Distance exceed 500,000. Renfe has issued about 75,000 titles with 50% discounts from Avant for use in high-speed Media Distancia services.
