Infrastructure improvements
February 22, 2024.- The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, through Adif, has promoted the implementation of a Facilities Telemanagement System (STGI) that allows the remote management of the facilities of the Arévalo station.
An automatic blocking system that has been under test since last Monday, February 19, and that allows the ‘tele-management’ of the Abulense station, from any point of the Adif telecommunications network, especially from the Neural Center of Stations, or locally, from an operating station in the station itself.
In this way, thanks to the installation of this equipment in the lobby of the Arévalo station, it now has a continuous opening time from 6:40 to 23:25 hours, from Monday to Sunday, improving the availability of the facilities for users, as well as the air conditioning of the waiting room
“It is intended to improve the waiting service of the users of the station of Arévalo, making their stay more comfortable and adapting the opening and closing times to the needs of travelers,” said the subdelegate of the Government in Ávila, Fernando Galeano.
A project that has had an investment of 49,596.87 euros that allows to improve the functionality of the Adif building while manoeuvring the different facilities contemplated during periods of absence of personnel at the stations or in special circumstances that modify the normal operation, guaranteeing the provision of basic services.
