February 9, 2024.- The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility has provisionally approved the project of tracing the improvement of the intersection of the road N-234 at its kilometric point 385,060 in the access to the town of Cabrejas del Pinar, in the province of Soria. The works have an estimated construction budget of 1.2 million euros (VAT included).
Soon, it will be submitted to the public information process, which involves the publication of the corresponding announcement in the Official State Gazette (BOE).
Currently, the existing T-junction between the N-234 and the local access race to Cabrejas del Pinar has left turning center rails, but not acceleration or deceleration rails. The objective of the action is to improve the existing intersection, making it a safer place of access and communication between both ways.
For this reason, a design has been proposed through a departure roundabout, so that the vehicles that circulate on the national road can continue their route without changing trajectory; while the rest of the movements will be carried out through the roundabout itself and the lanes of approach to the roundabout and incorporation to the national road (lanes of change of speed).
The project includes the extension of the roadway to run the speed change lanes and the connection area of the non-priority road (access road to Cabrejas del Pinar) with the N-234 in order to extend the turning radii and their corresponding islets or semi-roundabouts.
