February 1, 2024.- The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility has formalized the contract of one million euros (VAT included) of "Complementary works in the new access to the airport of Burgos. Highway N-120, p.k. 107+600”, in the province of Burgos. The corresponding announcement will soon be published in the Official State Gazette (BOE).
The works are aimed at improving road safety on the roundabout of the N-120 road, which gives access to the airport of Burgos. The proposed solution consists fundamentally of modifying the grade and the pegs of the roundabout, in order to minimize the dynamic actions that could give rise to rollovers or imbalances in the load of heavy vehicles.
The project also includes the improvement of the layout of the accesses to it, with the improvement of the radii and widths of the branches. In addition, it includes the improvement of drainage and visibility conditions, with the placement of a new perimeter lighting.
The action is included within the conservation and maintenance program of the State Road Network, in which more than 334.9 million euros have been invested since June 2018 in the province of Burgos.
