Renfe will invest more than 1 million euros in actions to improve the facilities of the León workshop

January 29, 2024.- Renfe maintains its commitment to Leon and maintains the workload of its workshops. The company will carry out improvement actions during this 2024 with a value of 650,000 euros in the integral renovation of the changing rooms and the creation of a new office building. In addition, during this year the replacement of the crane gangways will be tendered, with a value of around 375,000 euros.

For the current year, Renfe is planning the complete renovation of the changing rooms and the creation of a new office building - after the demolition of the current one - that will be located in a prefabricated construction. in order to speed up the change. It is also planned to return to the service of the workshop lathe, works that are pending execution in the coming days.

The workload for 2024 of ‘R’ repairs is similar to that of previous years and to this must be added the preventive and corrective maintenance operations that are carried out on a regular basis. This year the replacement of the lift porticoes is also being tendered (with an estimated investment of 375,000€) and the tender is being prepared for the replacement of the access door to the workshops.
