Renfe and the City of Palencia renew their collaboration to promote business and tourism travel by train

• Renfe will offer discounts on its Long Distance trains for congresses, events or group getaways

January 24, 2024.- Renfe and the City Council of Palencia have renewed today at the International Tourism Fair a collaboration agreement to jointly promote train travel for tourism or business purposes in the capital of Palencia.

The alliance was ratified this morning by the president of Renfe, Raül Blanco, and the mayor of Palencia, Miriam Andrés Prieto, within the framework of the celebration of Fitur.

The railway company will offer a 10% discount on its AVE and Long Distance train tickets to all attendees of congresses and events that are directly organized by the City of Palencia or that are held in its facilities.

In addition, travelers who hire their themed or MICE tourism getaways (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, Events and Congresses) can also benefit through the companies designated by the City of Palencia.

Renfe Official Train

The City Council of Palencia will promote and publicize the services of Renfe under the name ‘Renfe Tren Oficial’ of congresses, conventions, incentive trips, working days, promotions and jointly organized events. Both entities will work for the joint promotion of tourism and business trips linked to train travel as a more sustainable collective means of transport to visit Palencia.
