The fight against labour fraud has led to the emergence of around 300 jobs and the collection of around €2M in contributions in Zamora in 2023.
Subdelegate Assistance Commission
January 23, 2024.- The provincial services of the General State Administration (AGE) met this Tuesday morning in the Commission of Assistance to the Subdelegate of the Government to take stock of the 2023 financial year. Among the highlights, the subdelegate of the Government in Zamora, Ángel Blanco, has highlighted the activity of the Provincial Labour and Social Security Inspectorate, whose work has allowed 298 submerged jobs to emerge, transform 351 temporary contracts into indefinite, recover 137,665 euros in salaries and raise more than 1.78 million euros for Social Security.
the meeting was attended by the delegate of Economy and Finance, Juan Francisco Justel; the head of the Road Unit, Adolfo Güell; the chief inspector of the Labour Inspectorate, Reyes Álvarez; the provincial director of INSS and TGSS, Teresa Peral; The Secretary General of the Government Subdelegation, Carmen Fernández, has also participated.
Ángel Blanco has highlighted that the AGE in Zamora is composed of 1,636 public employees, 14% of the total of the province, and has highlighted to the media some of the most outstanding data.
Labour and Social Security Inspectorate
The subdelegate said that guaranteeing the labour and social rights of working people is a priority for the Subdelegation. Last year, the Labour and Social Security Inspectorate carried out more than 7,000 actions, which obtained the following results:
- Outdated employment: (ex officio and induced dismissals, work violations in foreigners, increases in working hours by a percentage greater than 50% of that reported) 298.
- Collection in the field of Social Security: 1.780.219.81euros.
- Temporary contracts transformed into indefinite: 351.
- Wages recovered: 137,665.44 euros.
Health Unit
The Health Unit has reported the processing of a total of 1,883 drug cases in 2023 and the intervention of 69 kilos of drugs.
As for the arresting agencies, the Civil Guard has apprehended 61 kg; the National Police Force, 7.9 kg; and the rest correspond to Customs Surveillance, Municipal Police of Zamora and Local Police of Benavente.
Cannabis resin (hashish) accounted for 53% by weight of the substances involved; 37% by weight, cannabis and 4% by weight, cocaine.
In addition, the Health Unit has reported the processing of five safe conduits for the transfer of corpses abroad. Seven shipments of COVID-19 vaccines have also been received and certified.
Agriculture Unit
In relation to Animal Health, the upward trend continues. In 2023, 1,266 certifications were processed for export outside the European Union, an 11% increase. Products of animal origin for human consumption account for more than 90%, mainly cheeses and other dairy products, and meat, especially from sheep.
In 2023, 13,797,567 kg of products of animal origin were certified for human consumption, an increase of 14%.
By destination, the main ones in terms of the number of certificates were United Kingdom (264), Israel/Palestine (96) and Vietnam (82). The companies with the highest export volume have been Children of Salvador Rodríguez, Dairy Collections and Moralejo Selección.
Hydrographic Confederation of the Douro, vote CERA and Cadastre
In April, the Douro Hydrographic Confederation launched the Canal de Alcaldes, a new tool to communicate with municipal councillors, resolve doubts and channel requests in a more agile way.
The subdelegate also highlighted the investment effort made in the channels for their conservation and maintenance worth 2.5 million euros in the year 2023 with a total of 22 actions. This year the budget will be 1.2 million euros.
On the other hand, it has valued the important work of the workers of the National Institute of Statistics in the management of the CERA vote, in which Zamora is the fifth province of Spain with the most volume, with scrupulous compliance of the deadlines and without the need to outsource the works.
Finally, the deputy delegate revealed that the cadastre sent more than 15,000 queries, 19% more than the previous year, and issued more than 88,000 certificates, 6% more; and more than 46,600 domain declarations, 45% more.
