The meeting has been convened to ensure security in the expectation of an increase in the number of visitors and celebrations during these days that may lead to crowds in central areas of the municipality and in the tours of bullfighting shows. Therefore, an appeal is made to enjoy the festivities prudently, respecting the rules of coexistence and participating responsibly in the activities.
It was also attended by the Chief Personnel and Support Commander of the Civil Guard Command, Isaías Galache; the Head of the Local Police, Siso Caridad; as well as other members of the Municipal Corporation, representatives and technicians of the Junta de Castilla y León, Civil Guard, Local Police, Civil Protection and Red Cross.
The accidental deputy delegate stressed the importance of the coordination and collaboration of all the institutions and agents involved in security operations, which will be reinforced by the Civil Guard essentially at the times of greatest influx, especially at the weekend.
The means and resources provided by the Civil Guard will be increased both in terms of citizen security and traffic, alcohol and drug controls at the accesses to the municipality, in view of the foreseeable arrival of numerous buses and private vehicles, all with the collaboration of the Local Police. In this way, police personnel from both the Rodrigo City Company and the Provincial Command and the Area of Castilla y León will be incorporated, through the Citizen Security Units (USECI), the Cinological Service to support the Traffic Subsector, the PEGASO Team with the participation of drones and a helicopter. The presence of judicial police of the VIOGEN Civil Guard teams was also highlighted to be able to assist in possible cases of attacks on women or minors. All this with the aim of being able to guarantee security through specialized services in the agglomeration of people during large events.
The Local Security Boards constitute operational and informative coordination bodies that facilitate channels of channeling that allow the social and institutional sectors affected to collaborate in the correct planning of public security, which undoubtedly results in a greater rapprochement between society and the Security Forces and Bodies and, consequently, in a better protection by them of the free exercise of public rights and freedoms recognized constitutionally.
