January 19, 2024.- Social Security registered in Castilla y León 77,202 foreign affiliates in December, in average terms and without seasonalization, that is, in the original series, which is 223 less than in November (-0.29%). Of the total, 29,981 workers come from countries of the European Union (45.31%) and 42,220 from third countries (54.69%). The largest groups of employed are from Romania (12,138), Morocco (9,292), Bulgaria (8,896), Colombia (7,414) and Venezuela (5,040). Of the total, 54.78% (42,294) are men and 45.22% (34,908) are women.
In the last twelve months, the average affiliation of foreign workers has grown by 11.66%, that is, it has added 8,062 affiliates.
Regimes and sectors
Overall, 87.53% of foreign affiliates were covered by the General System, with 67,573 workers. Within the sectors, the most occupied has been Hospitality (15.95% of the General Regime), along with Manufacturing Industry, which accounted for 12.35% of the General Regime. On the other hand, the sectors with the lowest number of participants were Household Activities as Employers of Domestic Personnel and Producers of Goods and Services for Own Use (0.11% of the General Regime) and Electricity Supply, Gas, Steam and Air Conditioning (0.05% of the General Regime).
For its part, the Autonomous System counted 9,629 foreign affiliates.
