Ángel Blanco supervises the Agrarian Employment Promotion Program, with which the Government injects more than €770,000 in Zamora
The subdelegate of the Government visits the works in Sanzoles and Fuentelapeña
January 17, 2024.- The subdelegate of the Government in Zamora, Ángel Blanco, made visits this Wednesday to the municipalities of Sanzoles and Fuentelapeña, where he has verified the development of the actions of the Agricultural Employment Promotion Program (PFEA), which currently employs 91 people in the province with an economic injection of 771,758.47 euros through grants from the Government twenty Zamoran municipalities.
The subdelegate highlighted the Government’s boost to employment in rural areas and pointed out that the budget allocated to this program in Zamora is 5.38% more than the previous year, 10% more than two years ago and 22% more than in 2020. “With this important economic injection, the Government makes it possible for around a hundred Zamoran farmworkers who were unemployed to have full-time work during these four months,” he said.
On both visits, Ángel Blanco has been accompanied by Asunción Justo, the provincial director of the Public Service of State Employment (SEPE), entity that channels the subsidies.
The contracts are in force from October 16, 2023 to February 14, 2024, to carry out works of general and social interest, such as conservation and maintenance of the rural, forest, heritage and environmental environment and to improve the infrastructures of the villages.
Works in Sanzoles
Ángel Blanco has visited the works in the City of Sanzoles accompanied by the councilwoman Lorena Sánchez. In this municipality there are two people hired with a subsidy of 16.910 euros.
The performances focus on repairs and arrangements in the paving of various roads, road blocks, interventions in sports area and children’s parks, performances in municipal buildings and facilities, reform of the toilets sports facility attached to the school and adaptation of houses of the wells.
Performances in Fuentelapeña
During the visit to Fuentelapeña, the deputy delegate was accompanied by the mayor, Esther Sánchez. In this town hall, the PFEA employs 12 workers, who perform paving and maintenance tasks for municipal buildings. The grant amounts to 101,460 euros.
These jobs include curb laying, supply and sanitation works, and pounding. The works also result in the improvement of the pavement of the Paseo de la Vega, repair of the school parking, improvement of a wall and the walls of the Telecentre building and dressing rooms of municipal swimming pools.
