Transport awards for 821,000 euros the drafting of the feasibility study of the Plasencia-León railway corridor

January 16, 2024.- The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility has awarded 820,826 euros (VAT included) to the company Prointec, S.A.U.

The objective of the study, which has an execution time of 24 months, is to evaluate the technical, economic and environmental feasibility of solutions that are supported in the railway mode in the Plasencia–León corridor.

To do this, a demand study will be carried out. In other words, a characterization of the mobility of both passengers and goods will be carried out and, with the degree of definition and precision according to this type of studies, the alternatives to satisfy this demand will be analyzed, which will then be compared under technical, economic, environmental and operational considerations, resulting in an optimal alternative.
