January 15, 2024.- The Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO), through the General Directorate of Water, has initiated the tender of the construction works of the wastewater treatment plants (EDARs) of the urban centers of the Castrovid dam in the Arlanza River (Burgos), with a total budget of 7,294,141.95 euros, according to the BOE today.
The project includes the implementation of the necessary infrastructures to solve the purification of the municipalities of Regumiel de la Sierra, Canicosa de la Sierra, Quintanar de la Sierra, Vilviestre del Pinar and Monasterio de la Sierra, as well as the town of Castrovid belonging to the municipality of Salas de los Infantes.
In this way, purification systems consisting of a biological process through biodisks are planned for all the locations mentioned except for Castrovid, since as it is a small population, the purification will be carried out through two septic tanks.
A total period of execution of the works of thirty months is estimated, between the period of execution and subsequent implementation of the EDARs.
