December 26, 2023.- The monthly payroll of the Social Security contributory benefits in Castilla y León in the month of December was 745.6 million euros for the payment of the ordinary monthly payment.
Distribution according to pension class in Castilla y León
Nearly three-quarters of December’s contributory pension payroll relates to retirement pensions, namely 74.38%, or €554.6 million. A total of EUR 127.4 million has been allocated to widows' pensions, while the payroll for permanent disability benefits is EUR 50.8 million, the payroll for orphans is EUR 9.8 million and the payroll for family benefits is EUR 2.8 million.
Of the 623,000 contributory pensions paid, 404,306 are for retirement, 150,052 for widows, 45,632 for permanent disability, 19,093 for orphans and 3,917 for relatives. The number of pensions is growing at a year-on-year rate of 0.84%.
For its part, the number of pensioners is 571,500. Of these, 305,486 are men and 266,014 women.
Average pension in Castilla y León
The average pension of the system amounts to 1,196.81 euros per month. This amount includes the different types of pension (retirement, permanent disability, widowhood, orphanhood and in favour of family members).
The average retirement pension, for its part, is 1,371.75 euros. For its part, the average widow’s pension is 849.45 euros per month.
Gender gap add-ons in Castilla y León
In December, 38,866 pensions received the gender gap supplement. The average monthly amount of this supplement in the pension is 65.3 euros. Of the more than 38,000 supplementary pensions, 23.7% are pensioners with one child (9,221), who previously had no access to the maternity supplement. 46.3% of the beneficiaries have two children (18,009); 18.5% have three children (7,199), and four children have 11.4% (4,437).
The gender gap supplement, in force since February 2021, consists of a fixed amount, after the revaluation applied in 2023, of 30.40 euros per month per child, which applies from the first child, unlike the previous maternity supplement. It is requested at the same time as the pension is requested.
Passive classes in Spain
For its part, the monthly pension payroll of Passive Classes amounted to 1,506.4 million euros in the month of November, the last available data. This figure represents an increase of 156.1 million euros compared to the previous year, 11.6% more.
The number of pensions in force was 706,465, 14,534 more pensions than in the same month of the previous year (2.1% annual variation).
The Passive Class System of the State includes primarily military and civilian personnel of the General Administration of the State, the Administration of Justice, the General Courts and other constitutional or State bodies, as well as officials transferred to the autonomous communities.
