December 22, 2023.- The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility has litigated for 12 million euros (VAT included) the rehabilitation works of the firm of the right road of the A-6 motorway, between the kilometers 299 and 335, stretch between La Bañeza and Astorga, in the province of León. The corresponding announcement will soon be published in the Official State Gazette (BOE).
Based on the analysis of the condition of the firm, its rehabilitation is planned through the solution of milling and replacement of all the layers of bituminous mixture existing in the roadway in the right lane.
The projected actions in the left lane, if applicable, contemplate a milling and replacement of the surface layer in a thickness of 6 cm, to completely eliminate the cracking and ensure a correct adhesion with the lower layers. It also provides for punctal healings that can affect the esplanade.
Finally, in order to provide the whole of the road with a continuity and homogeneity that regulates the rolling surface, the extension is projected throughout the road of the trunk, including the tails, of a bituminous mixture of 3 centimeters as a rolling layer.
In this action, environmentally sustainable techniques are contemplated, such as the partial recycling of milled material, so that the material from the milling of the firm will be used in the new hot bituminous mixtures to be extended.
This action is included within the program of conservation and maintenance of the State Road Network, in which about 165 million euros have been invested since June 2018 in the province of León, and which generates a significant impulse to improve the quality of service of the existing state road infrastructure.
