21 December 2023.- The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility has awarded the contract of complementary works in the amount of one million euros (VAT included) in the new access to the airport of Burgos, located at km 107,600 of the N-120 road.
The works are aimed at improving road safety on the N-120 roundabout that gives access to the airport of the Burmese capital. The proposed solution consists fundamentally of modifying the grade and the pegs of the roundabout, in order to minimize the dynamic actions that could give rise to rollovers or imbalances in the load of heavy vehicles.
The project also includes the improvement of the layout of the accesses to it, with the improvement of the radii and widths of the branches. In addition, it includes the improvement of drainage and visibility conditions, with the placement of a new perimeter lighting.
The action is included within the conservation and maintenance program of the State Road Network, in which the Ministry has invested more than 321.5 million euros since June 2018 in the province of Burgos.
