December 19, 2023.- The Subdelegate of the Government in Valladolid, Alicia Villar, has today presided over the assistance committee of the services integrated in the Subdelegation: Agriculture, High Inspection of Education, Development, Industry and Energy, Health and Labour and Immigration.
Promotion
In the area of Promotion, it is worth highlighting, among other actions, the processing this year of three Public Information procedures:
- Project of construction of the connecting platform of the high-speed lines Madrid-Valladolid and Madrid-Olmedo-Zamora-Galicia in the surroundings of Olmedo
- Project of construction of the double track of standard width north of the station of Valladolid Campo Grande up to the node Norte of Alicante-Variant East. Infrastructure, track and electrification. Municipal terms of Valladolid and Santopérez de Pisuerga.
- Drainage conditioning and improvement project between kilometer points 15,000 to 177,000, North axis, sections 1.a, 1.b, 1.c and 1.d. Municipal terms of Valladolid and Segovia.
Aid for abandonment of the activity in the Transport sector has also been processed in the amount of 60,000 euros, corresponding to this year’s call, and 510,000 euros from the call for 2022.
The monitoring of railway infrastructures indicates, in new construction, the recent award of track construction and electrification for the Eastern variant of Valladolid, for more than 15 million euros, and that of the supply and transport of ballast for the Eastern variant of Valladolid and phase I of the new railway complex, for a value close to 4 million euros. In maintenance, the allocation in the exercise of maintenance of the infrastructure, track and track equipment of the Madrid-North High-Speed Line (base area of Olmedo and Villada) is reported, for about 68 million euros.
In terms of roads, the service has reported on the extension with third lane of the A-62 Motorway, with the final approval of the project of tracing in the three sections: Dueñas–Cigales (December 2, 2023), Cigales–Simancas (November 28, 2022) and Simancas-Tordesillas (October 17, 2023).
On the a-60 Alicante-Leon Highway, the environmental procedure update for the Villanubla-La Mudarra and La Mudarra-Medina sections of Rioseco was approved on November 2.
In new work in execution, it has been reported that the stretch of the A-11 of Quintanilla de Arriba (West) - Olivares de Duero - Tudela de Duero, currently in execution with an investment that exceeds 200 million euros, will be put into service at the end of 2025.
In the follow-up of housing and rehabilitation aid, the meeting highlighted the resolution of the call for rental subsidies published on 30 October, with 3,216 beneficiaries in Valladolid for a global amount of 7.2 million euros and the 914 beneficiaries of the Young Rental Bonus in Valladolid, according to the resolution published on 29 March.
Local and Autonomic PIREP
The Program to Promote the Rehabilitation of Public Buildings (PIREP) has involved an investment of 10.1 million euros in the two lines of the local call, in the province of Valladolid, which comes in addition to the 15.1 million euros that MITMA contributed in the autonomous PIREP in Valladolid.
Finally, in the area of Development, the DUS-5,000 program has been highlighted to develop clean energy projects in municipalities of the demographic challenge that has involved an injection of 5.2 million euros in municipalities of the province such as Cabezón de Pisuerga, Medina de Rioseco, Mojados, Peñafiel, Portillo, Piña de Esgueva. Torrecilla de la Orden, Sardón de Duero, Traspinedo, Viana de Cega, Villalón de Campos, La Parrilla, Matapozuelos and Pedrajas de San Esteban.
Industry and Energy
The Industry and Energy sector is currently processing 41 hydroelectric energy projects and 2 wind energy projects in the province of Valladolid, which together amount to more than 3 billion euros in material execution budget.
Work and Immigration
The Aliens Office has processed 6,651 applications so far in 2023, compared to 5,314 in the full year 2022, that is, 25% more. These are applications for family reunification, study permit, work permit, long-term residence permit, for exceptional circumstances, return authorizations and issuance of EU citizens' family residence card. Morocco and Colombia are the countries whose nationals most request these permits. The resolution of authorizations has increased by 14% compared to 2022.
In the area of Labor, 37 applications for a certificate of returned emigrant have been processed this year, mostly from citizens from Latin America who recover Spanish nationality in application of the laws of Historical Memory and Democratic Memory.
Throughout 2023, 20 sanctioning files of the Labour and Social Security Inspectorate have also been resolved, warning that foreign citizens provided services without authorization to reside and work or to work.
Agriculture
In Valladolid this year, the Agriculture Service processed 2,331 animal health certification dossiers - for the export of animals and genetic material, products of animal origin, animal feed, medicines and animal health products to countries outside the EU - and 61 controls of the MAPA Annual Plan for the Control of Export Consignments of Animal Health.
As for the export certification in plant health, it has been experiencing a sustained growth and this year 310 certificates have been issued, specifically for dehydrated alfalfa and strawberry and raspberry plants.
The Agriculture Service has also managed until this year the Food Aid Program for the most disadvantaged people that, from 2024, will be managed by the ministries of Labor and Social Economy and Social Rights and Agenda 2030. In 2023, the program distributed 458,000 kilos of staple foods in the province of Valladolid, with an investment above 800,000 euros, to benefit an average of 9,674 people in each of its two annual phases.
Health and Social Policy
In the first ten months of this year in Valladolid, the Department of Health and Social Policy handled 13,536 cases of illicit drug trafficking in Castilla y León.
During this period, 1,193 kilos of substances have been received from 17,293 seizures; 14,713 samples have been analysed and 2,332 kilos of substances have been destroyed from 17,537 seizures in five sessions.
High Inspection of Education
Finally, the High Inspection of Education has processed, between January and November of this year, 3,348 applications for homologation of foreign university studies and has delivered 526 university degrees and 37 certificates of professionalism.
This service also manages the programme of the Master Plan for Coexistence and Improvement of Security in Schools and their Environments, which, during the past year, involved 1,093 actions by the National Police, the Civil Guard and the Unit against Gender Violence of the Government Subdelegation in Valladolid in 131 schools in the province, benefiting 23,482 students. In addition, within this Plan, the State Security Forces and Corps strengthened surveillance in the vicinity of 115 educational centers in the province of Valladolid.
