The subdelegate of the Government in Zamora visits the works belonging to the first phase of rehabilitation of the N-631
Ángel Blanco reaffirms the commitment of the Government of Spain to the improvement of the Zamoran roads
December 4, 2023.- The deputy delegate of the Government in Zamora, Ángel Blanco, together with the head of the Road Unit in Zamora, Adolfo Güell, the head of the Road Unit, Guillermo Vicente, and the mayor of the town of Tábara, visited this morning the section of works belonging to the first phase of rehabilitation of the N-631.
The works began on May 30, 2023, between the kilometers 0.000 and 15 of the N-631 (until Pozuelo de Tábara), to later advance to the municipality of Tábara, reaching the rehabilitation of the first 24 kilometers. The refurbishment of the N-631 is scheduled to be completed next year in a second phase of implementation.
Ángel Blanco wanted to highlight the importance of the execution and improvement of the works that “were very necessary and demanded by society, since the road presented an aspect of exhaustion and significant wear and tear. The section affected by the works lacked arches or berms, as well as areas such as the Puente de la Estrella that were too narrow to make the passage of vehicles compatible.” Likewise, Ángel Blanco, highlighted the complexity of “making the work of road mobility compatible with the needs of the neighbors or any type of emergency. Therefore, it has been tried to minimize all kinds of discomfort and, for this, alternative routes for circulation were enabled”.
