The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food opens the call for the CULTIVA 2023 program for young farmers and ranchers
Until November 24, through the ministry’s electronic headquarters
November 6, 2023.- The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food has opened the deadline for submission of applications for the CULTIVA 2023 program, which will last until November 24. This programme, aimed at young farmers and ranchers, consists of short training sessions on model farms throughout the national territory.
The participants of this training experience will be able to select the exploitation where they wish to make the stays in the Catalogue published on the website of the Ministry. A search engine will also be available where they will be available by territory, dates and agricultural production. The stays will be made from the month of January 2024.
This edition has extended the possibility of participating agricultural professionals under 41 years of age, or who have settled in the last five years with an age of less than or equal to 40 years. It also opens up the possibility of choosing farms with the same or different productions to those of the applicants, regardless of the sector and the territory.
The expenses of accommodation, maintenance and transportation of young people are covered by the CULTIVA program. In addition, they will have a compensation for replacement expenses to hire a person who attends and manages their exploitation during this period.
The stays offered are organized by the collaborating entities of the program: Agricultural Association of Young Farmers (ASAJA), Association of Celtic Pig Breeders (ASOPORCEL), Agrifood Cooperatives of Spain, Coordinator of Farmers and Livestock Organizations (COAG), San Isidro Mico, Union of Agricultural Family Schools (UNEFA), Union of Small Farmers and Livestock Producers (UPA), and Union of Farmers and Livestock Unions.
