Yellow warning for rains in several points of Castilla y León
For accumulations of up to 15 liters
September 15, 2023.- The State Meteorological Agency, AEMET, has launched a yellow warning for storms and heavy rains for all the provinces of Castilla y León with the exception of the province of Soria. This notice is active between 12.00 and 21.00 hours on this Friday.
AEMET’s forecasts state that rainfall of up to 15 litres could occur at Community sites. Such warnings affect the plateaus of León, Palencia, Zamora, Salamanca, Valladolid, Segovia. There is also yellow notice for the Cantabrian Mountains of León, Palencia and Burgos and the regions of Sanabria in Zamora and del Bierzo in León. The central systems of Ávila, Segovia and Salamanca and the south of Salamanca are also on yellow warning for heavy rains.
These yellow notices will be active between 12.00 and 21.00 hours with the exception of the Palencia plateau, whose notice for precipitation of up to 15 liters is activated from 7.00 hours. For tomorrow Saturday the forecasts maintain that yellow alert for accumulations of up to 15 liters in the Cantábrica de León and the Zamorana region of Sanabria.
