September 5, 2023.- On the occasion of the 78th edition of the Cycling Tour to Spain in the province of Soria, on September 6, in its 11th stage with departure in Lerma and arrival in Laguna Negra Vinuesa, with a route of 163.2 kms, the Civil Guard has established a security device in order to guarantee the protection, of the athletes, of the people and facilities involved in the test.
To this Operation, specifically, the Civil Guard has constituted a Mobility and Road Safety Unit (UMSV) composed of 134 civil guards (85 of the Traffic Group, 39 of the Reserve and Security Group, 6 of the Air Service, 2 GAR/UAV, 2 Mobile Material Service), making use of 92 vehicles, which will accompany the sporting event throughout its route.
The Civil Guard of Soria establishes a security device on the occasion of the Cycling Tour to Spain of more than 75 agents, belonging to Citizen Security of the Territorial Units, USECIC (Citizen Security Unit), Traffic Subsector, as well as other specialties.
All this in order for one of the most important sports events in Spain to be held with total normality, in addition to the Operational Center of the Command (COC), a nerve point in the transmissions of the entire operation of the province.
In Vinuesa, SO-820, 12, 8, at the end of the stage, within the space established by the Organization of Parque Vuelta, the Civil Guard, will have installed a stand with exhibition of media and specific material with which agents of different specialties work, freely accessible to all the public.
