September 4, 2023.- The number of unemployed people registered in the offices of the Public Service of State Employment (SEPE) of Castilla y León, at the end of August has risen by 968 people (+0.9%) compared to the previous month.
The total number of unemployed is 107,736 unemployed and unemployed in Castilla-Leon.
In year-on-year terms, the registered unemployment fell by 11,347 people (-9.5%). For 25 years, unemployment has increased in August due to the seasonal cycles of the production model.
The number of members of the Social Security in Castilla y León has decreased by 2,732 people (-0.28%) compared to the previous month, which is already 968,083. This represents an annual increase of 21,203 more affiliates and affiliates (2.24%).
Unemployment by economic sectors
By economic sectors, with respect to July. In Agriculture it is reduced by 105 people and in Industry by 11. In Construction it increases by 112, in Services by 926 and in the Collective Without Previous Employment it increases by 46 people.
Unemployment by sex and age
Unemployment rose among Castilian men in 293, up to a total of 42,435.
It increases female unemployment with 675 more stops compared to the previous month and stands at a total of 65,301.
Unemployment among young people under 25 years of age rose in the Community in August by 272 people compared to the previous month. The total number of these unemployed young people is 7,854.
Contracts
The total number of contracts registered in Castilla y León during the month of August has been 58,347. Of these, 17,576 are open-ended employment contracts, accounting for 34.67% of all contracts.
The temporary contracts registered in the month of July 2023 were 40,771, which accounted for 65.33% of the contracts
