August 31, 2023.- The Subdelegate of the Government in Zamora has presided, together with the Mayor of Carbajales, the Security Coordination Meeting that was held this morning in the town of Tierra de Alba on the occasion of the next celebration of the patron saint's parties of the town.

This meeting, in addition to Ángel Blanco and Roberto Fuentes, was attended by Manuel Teso, representing Civil Protection of the Junta de Castilla y León; members of the Command of the Civil Guard of Zamora, with Lieutenant Colonel Pulido at the head; the Provincial Head of Traffic, Alfonso Ibáñez, and the head of the Unit of Violence against Women, Marisa Manso.

On the table several topics, although before starting the subdelegate wanted to highlight that the citizen security of the municipality has improved substantially, with hardly any incidents recorded in recent months. As far as the celebration of the patron saint’s festivities is concerned, an influx of more than 10,000 people is expected during the big weekend, with the enclosures in the countryside and nocturnal musical performances as main focal points of attraction. Therefore, Ángel Blanco wanted to add value to the work to be done by the Civil Guard in terms of security, both citizen and road. In addition to the regular troops provided by the Civil Guard Command, members of the USECIC will be deployed, as well as the Pegaso team and the benemérita helicopter.

The head of the Violence against Women Unit of the Government Subdelegation, Marisa Manso, has informed those present about the ministerial campaign “Ser Libre, Estar Viva” that is being developed throughout the summer, in order to raise awareness among the participants in the festivities, a good majority young people, about the different forms of violence against women, identify and denounce all forms of male violence and inform about the different comprehensive care services that the victims have at their disposal. To this end, material and different resources of the campaign itself have been distributed.
