August 23, 2023.- The subdelegate of the Government met this morning in Zamora with the Superior Chief of Police of Castilla y León Juan Carlos Hernández.
The Chief Commissioner took office last June after his appointment by Minister Grande Marlaska and after occupying the senior leadership of the Aragon Police.
A native of Ciudad Real, Hernández joined the National Police in 1983, where he has held different positions in the provincial Information Brigades of Vitoria and León, as well as in the Central Unit for the Deactivation of Explosives.
Between 2012 and 2018 he was responsible for the Local Commissariat of Benidorm (Alicante), provincial head of Operations in Malaga and head of the Provincial Commissariat of León. In 2017 he obtained the highest rank of Police, when he became Chief Commissioner, and in 2018 he was appointed Senior Chief of Police of Aragón, where he has carried out his work to date.
He has received several awards, among which two crosses to Police Merit with White Badge stand out, as well as numerous public congratulations and recognitions from other institutions.
