August 2, 2023.- The Citizen Security Board of Cuéllar has closed the device for the upcoming festivities and the Cuéllar enclosures, which will be held between August 26 and 31. The meeting was held this morning at the Palacio de Pedro I in Cuéllar and was co-chaired by the Government’s deputy delegate, Marian Rueda, and the mayor of the municipality, Carlos Fraile.
The meeting was attended by the Civil Guard, the Provincial Traffic Headquarters, councillors of the City of Cuéllar and Local Police; representatives of the concessionaires of the roads; of Civil Protection of the Junta and of the Civil Protection Group of Cuéllar; of horse associations; and of the organization of the enclosures.
The deputy delegate of the Government said that “the Security Board has outlined, at its meeting today, the device to avoid incidents and guarantee security during the holidays.” In this way, the Security Board has analyzed different issues related to the route of the six enclosures; as well as the planned traffic cuts. This year, it is expected to have the Civil Guard Cavalry Squadron again during the six lock-ups, which will help in the work of driving the cattle and safeguarding the safety of the attendees, acting in case of seeing inappropriate behaviors or that may endanger other people.
DEVICE
The Civil Guard will have an operation similar to that of previous years, in which the units of Information, Citizen Security, Traffic, Seprona and Cavalry Squadron will participate, to guarantee security, always in collaboration with the Local Police of Cuéllar and Civil Protection.
The SG-205 will remain closed from 7.50 and during the time required for the passage of bulls and horses on the days of the confinements. In this way, people who want to go to enjoy the enclosures are advised to go early enough.
The subdelegate encouraged people to enjoy the parties and insisted that “you should always enjoy the parties and lock them up responsibly and bear in mind that if you drink, do not drive, because there will be alcohol and drug controls, to guarantee the safety of everyone”.
It is recalled that it is prohibited to drive with any motor vehicle in the spaces attached to the itinerary of the enclosures, except for authorized vehicles.
In addition, both caballistas and runners must always follow the instructions and advice of the organization and the State Security Bodies and Forces, to avoid possible accidents.
The Security Board has also stressed the advisability of preventing participants from smoking on the course, as it could cause fires, due to high temperatures. The need to raise awareness against sexist acts during the holidays has also been stressed, for which a “violet dot” will be placed during the holidays. The city council has reported that during the Saturday that is the day of the proclamation and a large influx of public is expected, as well as the rest of the days that have won in toriles, there will be private security to reinforce the device. It has also been confirmed that there will be no fireworks, since the situation of extreme fire risk makes it unlikely that they could be carried out.
