Unemployment rose slightly in Castilla y León by 83 people in July
The number of Social Security members has risen in the last month by 8,574 people in the Community
August 2, 2023.- The number of unemployed people registered in the offices of the Public Service of State Employment (SEPE) of Castilla y León, at the end of July has risen by 83 people (+0.08%) compared to the previous month.
The total number of unemployed is 106,768 unemployed and unemployed in Castilla-Leon.
In year-on-year terms, the registered unemployment fell by 10,681 people (-9.09%). This percentage decrease reflects a very intense fall given the conditions of stability in which our labor market is moving, in which the effects of labor reform are consolidated.
The number of members of the Social Security in Castilla y León has risen by 8,574 people (0.89%) compared to the previous month, which means an annual increase of 17,893 members (1.88%).
Unemployment by economic sectors
By economic sectors, with respect to June, the registered unemployment falls almost generally in Castilla y León. In Agriculture it was reduced by 108 people (-2.2%), in Construction with 85 fewer unemployed (-1.28%) and among the Collective Without Previous Employment it decreased by 81 people (-0.71%).
On the contrary, it increases in Industry by 32 people (0.37%) and in Services by 325 people (0.43%).
Unemployment by sex and age
Unemployment among Castilian men fell by 397 (-0.93%), to a total of 42,142.
On the contrary, female unemployment increased with 480 more unemployed (0.75%) compared to the previous month and stood at a total of 64,626.
Unemployment among young people under 25 years of age fell in the Community in July by 155 people (-2%) compared to the previous month. The total number of these unemployed young people is 7,582.
Contracts
The total number of contracts registered in Castilla y León during the month of July was 69,666. Of these, 22,500 are open-ended employment contracts, accounting for 32.3% of all contracts. Before the labor reform, barely 8% of these types of contracts were signed during this period, on average at the national level.
In cumulative quantities, 139,764 contracts have been made for an indefinite period until July 2023.
The contracts of a temporary nature registered in the month of July 2023 have been 47,166. They represent 4,627 contracts less (-8.93%) than the same month of the previous year. In cumulative terms, 255,742 temporary contracts have been registered in the first seven months.
Performance in June
The total number of beneficiaries existing in Castilla y León at the end of June was 63,886.
The total investment in benefits in the month of June 2023 amounted to 66.5 million euros.
