August 1, 2023.- The Security Commission has set the device for the festivities of the Real Sitio de San Ildefonso, which will be held between August 19 and 25, at the meeting held today in the City Council of the municipality. From August 17, there will be activities related to the patron saint’s festivities of San Luís.
The meeting was chaired by the deputy delegate of the Government, Marian Rueda and the mayor of the Real Sitio de San Ildefonso, Samuel Alonso. In addition, councillors of the municipality have participated; the head of the Civil Protection Unit of the Government Subdelegation, Mariano Otero; members of the Civil Guard; the provincial head of Traffic, Pedro Pastor; the provincial delegate of National Heritage, Nilo Fernández; the head of the Road Unit, Enrique Arredondo; and of Civil Protection of the municipality and of the Territorial Delegation of the Junta de Castilla y León.
The deputy delegate pointed out that “coordination between administrations is excellent and fundamental for preventive measures to work, which guarantee the safety of visitors and Granjeños.”
The Civil Guard will establish in these festivities an operation formed by agents of Citizen Security, Traffic, Seprona and Information.
The proclamation of the festivities, popular meals such as the damaged one, the functioning of the palace fountains, concerts and bullfighting events will be the activities that most people gather at the festivities, so most of the preventive measures are aimed at these events.
During the festivities, traffic cuts will be established in the urban center for the celebration of different activities, and parking areas will be enabled. The subdelegate asked “to follow the indications of the Civil Guard in this regard, and take into account that there will be alcohol and drug controls on the roads of access to the municipality, to guarantee the safety of drivers”.
In addition, the way to control the access to the square will be studied to avoid the entry of glasses or glass containers.
National Heritage sets a new year, with a capacity of around 5,000 people to access water games from the fountains of the Royal Palace of La Granja on the day of San Luís, on August 25. Tickets are free and can be picked up at the box office, starting at 11 a.m. on that day.
There will be no fireworks, taking into account high temperatures and the extreme risk of fires.
A “violet point” will also be established, next to the ambulance, in addition to the collaboration of peñists and Civil Protection who will be aware that there is no act of male violence.
