July 21, 2023.- The Government Subdelegation hosted this morning a coordination meeting on Ukrainian refugees in which the situation of these citizens in the province has been reviewed
The meeting, which is held periodically and which has been presided over by the subdelegate of the Government, Marian Rueda, has involved the Chief Commissioner of the National Police, Miguel Ángel Martínez, along with a sub-inspector; the Commander of the Civil Guard, José Ángel Giro; the Councillor for Social Services of the City of Segovia, Almudena Suárez; representatives of the Coordinating Unit of Primary Care Teams of the Department of Health Care, of the Protection of Children of the Territorial Health Department
The arrival of Ukrainian refugees in the province is gradually decreasing, according to the data provided at the meeting. Thus, of the 524 temporary protection procedures carried out by the Segovia Police Station in 2022, it has been moved to 17 so far this year. The same is true of the resignations: of the 26 registered in 2022, for return to Ukraine or transfer to other provinces, this year one has been counted.
Both the National Police and the Civil Guard have shown their total willingness to continue helping and collaborating with the collective of Ukrainians of the province in everything that is necessary.
On the other hand, in February last year there were 22 Ukrainians affiliated to the Social Security in the province, a figure that rose to 104 in August 2022, to go down to 88 in November. In April 2023, there were 85, of which 68 were part of the General System, nine were autonomous and eight belonged to the Agrarian System.
At the coordination meeting, all participating institutions have offered to continue working and cooperating to provide all necessary assistance and assistance to Ukrainian refugees.
