Employment increases by 463,000 members so far this year and daily membership continues to exceed 20.9 million employed

July 17, 2023.- Social Security membership has grown by 463,071 people in seasonally adjusted terms in the last seven months (December 15, July 15). This figure is the highest for this period of the historical series and practically equals the job creation recorded throughout the year 2022. For its part, the increase recorded by the original series (607,184 people) is the second largest for this period of the series.
In addition, just over a year after daily membership exceeded 20 million employed, it remains above 20.9 million members. In particular, the daily affiliation data has been above this figure from July 11 until the last available day.
The number of members of the Social Security in Castilla y León on July 14, 2023 is 971,035. The average from July 1 to 14 is 969,097.
With the latest data available, corresponding to July 15, the total number of affiliates has grown 1.35 million people since the start of the pandemic. The average affiliation observed, in seasonally adjusted terms, in the period from mid-June to mid-July has recorded a result of 4,709 people compared to the average of the previous two fortnights. In original terms, this variation is of 13,131 people.
