The Government grants more than 2.7 million in aid between the provincial councils of Ávila, Salamanca, Burgos, Zamora and Segovia

June 30, 2023.- The Territorial Political Ministry has granted the deputies of Ávila, Salamanca, Zamora, Burgos and Segovia grants worth 2,711,803 million. These grants are intended to alleviate the damage caused by the forest fires that occurred in June, July and August 2022. In total, 15 localities in Castilla y León will benefit from these subsidies. To these must be added that which the provincial institutions of Ávila, Zamora and Salamanca consider with the contributions that have been assigned to them.
At the Council of Ministers held on 22 August last year, it agreed to declare areas seriously affected by civil protection emergencies territories of all autonomous communities, except Cantabria, Asturias and the autonomous cities of Ceuta and Melilla, as a result of the 120 forest fires suffered since 12 June in different areas of Spanish geography.
In this way, a line of subsidies was convened whose objective was the repair or restitution of infrastructure, equipment, facilities and services of municipal and communal ownership, as a result of natural disasters, as well as road networks of provincial councils.
The more than 2.7 million granted to Castilla y León correspond to aid to 15 localities. As published today in the Official State Gazette, the Provincial Council of Ávila will receive more than 2.1 million and is the one that receives the highest amount of all. The municipalities of Cebreros, El Hoyo de Pinares, San Juan de la Nava, Santa Cruz del Valle, Lanzahíta and the provincial institution itself receive aid
The Provincial Council of Salamanca has an allocation of 491,865 euros and is followed by that of Zamora with 57. 320 euros. In Burgos, an aid of 15,118 euros is granted to the City of Quintanilla del Coco and in Segovia de Torre Val de San Pedro will receive 2,418 euros.
The different provincial deputies, in their capacity as beneficiary entities, may approve instructions that specify the time and form in which the executing entities must send them the information they need to ensure compliance with the basis that regulates these aids.
