June 27, 2023.- Renfe is reprogramming the Playeros Trains to facilitate the access of customers from Castilla y León to the beaches of Gijón, Santander and San Sebastián, during the months of July and August, starting the season next Saturday July 1, until Sunday August 27.
The Playero Leon-Gijón Train leaves the Leonese capital at 9:25 from Monday to Friday, arriving in Gijón at 12:27. On Saturdays, Sundays and holidays the departure time is transferred to 9:29 to arrive at the destination at 12:32. The Gijón terminal of Sanz Crespo has a pedestrian crossing that communicates directly with the Railway Museum and Poniente Beach. The return train departs from Gijón every day at 20:25, arriving in León at 23:46.
The Valladolid–Palencia–Santander Playero Train allows travel to the Cantabrian coast on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, leaving Valladolid Station at 7:45, passing through Palencia at 8:22 and arriving in Santander at 11:40. The return journey begins in Santander at 20:15, with passage through Palencia at 23:23 and end in Valladolid at 23:59.
During July and August, this Tren Playero will be affected by works in the infrastructure programmed by Adif, so Renfe has planned an alternative transport system by road between Torrelavega and Santander so that the service is not interrupted.
The Playero Miranda de Ebro-San Sebastián Train will circulate daily from July 1 with departure from Miranda at 8:25 and arrival in San Sebastián at 10:48.
The return trip will be made from the Donostian station every day except Saturdays at 20:12, with arrival in Miranda de Ebro at 22:30. On Saturdays, the departure time moves to 20:40 to make the most of the day on the beach, and arrives at the Mirandesa station at 22:59.
Tickets for the services of the Tenes Playeros are already on sale in the official channels: ticket offices of the stations, self-sale machines, Renfe app, post offices, on the phone 912 320 320, travel agencies and in www.renfe.com.
